The 5 second rule 😊
Okay, I have gotten much good out of Mel Robbins’ 5 second rule, where you count from 5 down to 1 and begin whatever you need to do before you get to 1 or it’s not getting done. It came to me, that my biggest problem is doing, then doing, then doing, but leaving each task undone. I guess this is called ADHD in many circles. Therefore, I will start counting from 1 up to 5 before I go on to the next task. That will give me time to think for 5 seconds if what I am about to do is more important than what I am doing in the moment. Mel Robbins’ 5 second rule helps me to get off the couch, which is a good thing, but my ascending 5 second rule will help me to stay on task. At least I am going to implement it in my daily life this day and report back my findings. I'm sure that it will take some time to remember to do this, but once it becomes "what I do", my whole life should change in a positive way.
